This is an original WWI Era Staff Officer's "Gimp" Belt, with a lovely gilt rectangular plate buckle bearing the GVR Royal Cypher of King George V under a "King's Crown". Under this is the motto of the British Royal Family: DIEU ET MON DROIT which means GOD IS MY RIGHT, a reference to the "Divine Right" of royalty to rule. The buckle has a hook on the back, which attaches to a loop on the other
