It has a manufacture date of 1896, just prior to the Spanish American War, putting it into the lot of swords sent to Cuba, Puerto Rico, and the Philippines to fight the United States in 1898. The sword has an overall length of 36 and is marked on the blade FBCA DE TOLEDO 1896., for the
