This is a very nice WWII German Labor Front (Deutsche Arbeitsfront DAF) Flag Pole Finial or Topper (Fahnenstange Endstck). It is constructed of nickel plated brass, and is the later two piece design. It is marked on the base with an ((RZM)) Code M3 40, which has not been identified. "M3" is the code for "Insiginia", so it is definitely correct for this piece, and we have also seen other examples with this same code
