This wonderful set of Italian Long flintlock pistols is really compelling, with beautifully carved wood stocks with carved embellishments. The 12 1 2" Damascus barrels are decorated in heavy GOLD and the iron is carved which is also found on the hammer. The lock plates of both are signed on the bottom: CHINELLI This is the name of a gunsmithing family who worked in Gardone Val Trompia in Italy, from as early as 1580
