This is a very fascinating Sword! Its slightly curved 32" blade is "Quill Backed," and shows evidence of having considerable engravings down it's length now almost entirely worn away. The sword boasts the more elegant "Lion's Head" Pommel with very distinctive Lion's mane draped down the back strap. The bronze hilt was no doubt originally mercury gilt, which has now worn away.
