Here we have a lovely set of 2 WWII German Verwundetenabzeichen (Wound Badges), one 1st class in Gold and one 3rd Class in Black! The latter was awarded for 1 2 wounds, while the Gold was awarded once they had accumulated over 5 wounds. Normally these would be received in a progression from black to silver to gold, however in the case of a severe wound (loss of limb, eyesight, etc), the normal order could
