This is a lovely Three Piece Hanger, as used with SA Dienstdolch Service Daggers, as indicated by the brown leather construction. It was a step up from the standard hanger, with an extra strap with snap attached to the belt loop, which would keep the dagger from moving around excessively when worn. The daggers were really for ceremonial use only, so not having to unsnap the securing strap was not really a major
