This is an original East German Army Helmet, disbanded in 1991 after the collapse of East Germany and the Berlin Wall, which was probably "traded" by a British Soldier on guard duty with his East German Counterpart at one of the Berlin Wall Check Points. (Remember "Check Point CHARLIE"). This helmet has the name of the original German owner with his Berlin address on a label stuck onto the inside of the helmet close to the
