British WWII Vickers MMG Cork Plug Assembly DP-28 LMG Dating from the late 18th

Dating from the late 18th century or possibly early 19th century this is a spectacular traditional Burmese dagger known to as a DHA

The MG 42 was adopted by several armed organizations after the war

Top cover is marked with serial number 2518 and is in excellent condition

Apparently this was done for political reasons as the Germans were technically still "allied" to the Soviets (who the Finns were fighting) during the Winter War of 1939-40

British WWII Vickers MMG Cork Plug Assembly DP-28 LMG Dating from the late 18thNew Made Item: Every Vickers gun was supplied with a plug assembly to close the steam escape tube when the gun is not firing. The assembly consists of a brass spindle with ring handle, a chain and hooks to attach the assembly to the water jacket stud, a cork plug, and a brass collar to retain the cork on the spindle. Many Vickers parts kits and dummy guns are missing this assembly.
