This is a very nice example of the German WWII issued "Eastern Peoples" Medal First Class (Ostvolkmedaille I. Klasse) in Gold. The award itself is unmarked, and made from zinc, both typical traits for these awards. It is the type without swords, and was issued for merit. Unlike most we see, there is still about 40% of the original gold finish on the front, when usually there are only traces. The badge shows minor
