This is an excellent example of the scarce OSS Drop Knife, 1st pattern. These knives were manufactured inexpensively and quickly during WW2, and were intended to be dropped from airplanes behind enemy lines to provide weapons for resistance fighters. This OSS Drop Knife is in very good condition. This example seems to have been made using a bright steel blade, as even the areas under the guard are shiny. There is
