Every third bead has a ring of copper pressed into the wood. Includes white metal counters already attached and a simple red tassel. The intricate handmade details were done in Kathmandu, Nepal by skilled mala makers. Bodhi seeds have sacred meaning throughout Buddhism. It was under the Bodhi tree that the Buddha first achieved enlightenment.
