Sometime in the 90s the infamous Beat set these passages to tape. Hal Willner and James Grauerholz produced several sessions and recruited a few musicians for accompaniment. Bill Frisell and Wayne Horvitz of John Zorn's Naked City, as well as violist Eyvind Kang, crafted abstract compositions that matched the distorted imagery of Burroughs' writing.
